About Us
Working with patients ranging from children to senior citizens and professional athletes to weekend warriors starts with having a keen understanding of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and kinesiology. Having that understanding allows you to look at a person's symptoms and work backwards to find what's causing them. Once you know why they are NOT moving correctly you can come up with a plan to restore as much of their functional abilities as possible. It also allows you to work with someone who does not have any problems and maximize their capabilities and performance.
Let’s face it, nearly everything we do can cause problems with our bodies. The harder we play…the greater the risk of injury. The alternative of not participating just doesn’t seem too exciting to most of us so we end up accepting the risk. So, you work, you play, you live and…you get hurt! Someone mentions that their cousin did the same thing and you should really do some stretches. You say, ‘Thanks, I’ll do that!’ But then you think, ‘How do I do that?’
Good quality information needs to be easily accessible and also clearly explained. The amount of information on the internet can be overwhelming and, at times, unreliable. In order for knowledge to help people, they need to understand it and use it. Having information in writing as well as in video format for viewing is the best way to explain and reinforce it. myPTpro is designed to help everyone who owns a body by giving you all the information you need to help you understand how to prepare, how to rehabilitate and, for those of you competing, how to improve your performance. We have added blogs and forums to allow you to learn from others and share your experience as well. We take the whole concept a step further and invite you to ask questions to insure that you REALLY understand and are empowered to make better decisions.
